Explore the unique soundscape created by the diverse communities of Los Angeles and enjoy music in English, Spanish, Hebrew, and Farsi, honoring the eclectic populations of the city. Featuring two new works by LA-based composers Zanaida Stewart Robles and Saunder Choi, plus a collaboration with GMCLA a cappella group Aftershock!

VOX Social Media Coordinator Angelica Rowell spent the day with Zanaida Stewart Robles for a behind the scenes look at the life of a multi-talented, teacher, conductor, musician, and composer. Join us on Saturday, March 11th at 7PM to see the premier of her piece, "Intersectionality" as part of our concert, Made in LA: Identity & Belonging in the City of Angels.
In March 2021 VOX Femina created a digital presentation of "Behind the Caravan: Songs of Hâfez" by composer Abbie Betinis. In March 2023 VOX will perform this piece live as part of the concert, Made in LA: Identity & Belonging in the City of Angels.
Hear poet Brian Sonia-Wallace discuss writing the poem that composer Saunder Choi used as the lyrics for his piece "Our Streets, A Symphony Again," commissioned for this concert by VOX Femina Los Angeles.
VOX singer Mika Jain talks about traditional Ghungroo bells used by dancers and musicians across India. The instrument will be featured in this VOX concert as part of Reena Esmail's piece TāReKiTa.
